About the Betsy Rodgers Allen Gallery
Centre County, Pennsylvania is full of wonderful artists and Schlow Centre Region Library is proud to to exhibit their work in our Betsy Rodgers Allen Gallery.
The Gallery is an intimate exhibition space located on the first floor of the Library. With approximately forty running feet, the gallery shows both 2D and 3D work by artists with ties to the region. Once every year, the Gallery partners with the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts to exhibit works by artists from farther afield, in the Images exhibition.
The Gallery Committee, comprised of both Library staff and members of the local art community, solicits submissions from artists, reviews their applications, and oversees operations.
Art is interpreted broadly to include paintings, sculpture, crafts, etc. The Committee meets periodically throughout the year to select exhibitors.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Betsy Rodgers Allen Gallery is closed to make room for patron reserves.
The exhibitions continue here virtually.
